It’s never too late to celebrate Beethoven!
The Beaverton Symphony Orchestra presents Belated Beethoven, featuring the dramatic Coriolan Overture, the lyrical and powerful Piano Concerto No. 3 with soloist Yoko Greeney, and the elegant and exuberant Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major.
Beethoven’s 250th birthday was supposed to be a worldwide celebration, but 2020 had other plans. Seven years later, we’re finally making up for lost time. As we mark the 200th anniversary of his death on March 26, 2027, the BSO finally has the perfect excuse to celebrate a composer whose music continues to inspire audiences around the world.
Making her first appearance with the Beaverton Symphony Orchestra, pianist Yoko Greeney joins the BSO for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor. Described by Oregon ArtsWatch as “one of the most significant members of Portland’s classical music scene,” Greeney’s artistry and deep connection to the region make her an exciting addition to this special Beethoven celebration.
After seven years of waiting, it’s time to give Beethoven the celebration he never got in 2020. Join the BSO and pianist Yoko Greeney for an evening of Beethoven’s music—belated, perhaps, but certainly worth the wait.
